It's Fall Y'all!

Experience the beauty of High Rock Lake this fall, where cooler days and crisp nights create the perfect for relaxation. With the crowds gone and lake traffic at a minimum, especially on weekdays, you can truly enjoy the serene surroundings. The Uwharrie Mountains come alive with vibrant colors, making it a picturesque setting for outdoor activities. New Playground Near Lake

The Yadkin River Park continues to expand. A brand new playground opened to the public on August 1st, 2024.  They are putting the finishing touches of a beautiful garden with waterfall and pond and new water fountains and restrooms are now available to visitors.  If you haven't check out the park lately, you should. Fall Crappie Fishing

Professional fishing guide Shane Walser says that in the fall, crappie start moving out of the creeks and back into deeper water. According to Shane,  before you can catch them you have to find them. Just like our kids, the fall means going back to school. In the case of crappie,  large schools of them will be wherever there are large schools of baitfish. For more check out our fishing page here

Fall Bass

Fall is an excellent time to fish for bass on High Rock Lake. With the great weather and the big bass feeding up before winter, it's an ideal season for anglers.
